Training
for engg students
Bhubaneswar,
May 9: The Xavier Institute of Management (XIM), here,
has a come up with a summer training programme jointly
with Nettech, for engineering students on Network
Management (Linux Environment)
Eighty
students form private and government engineering
colleges will participate in it. The first batch
training starts on May 17 and the second one from June
first week.
Since
there is a growing demand for Linux in every area of
IT industry, XIMB which has an Information Management
system in place, is offering the summer programme to
engineering students. According to Dean, Information System Dr. Gopal Krishna Nayak, Linux is now finding its way into more and more companies and at XIMB more than half of the applications run in Linux Platform. Practical examinations and on-line tests will also be conducted for the students. ENS
